Tips
Practice popping over a crack or a stick on flat ground first. Pull up, don't just jump. The bars do the lifting.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Pulling with your arms only. Bend your knees deep and jump with your legs; the bars come up because you did.
Jumping forward instead of up. Push straight down and spring straight up so both wheels leave together.
Feet leaving the deck late. Lift your feet at the same moment you pull, so the deck stays under you.
Landing with straight legs. Soften your knees as the wheels touch so the landing stays quiet and you keep rolling.

Where it sits
Why it's Rookie: It is the first trick, so nothing comes before it. What makes it a trick at all is timing: legs, arms and feet have to fire together or one wheel stays down.
