Can you do it?

The lowdown

Hop or air, take one foot off the deck and hold it out to the side, then put it back on before you land. The other foot stays planted and both hands stay on the bars.

Fun fact

It is the first step towards the No Footer, where both feet leave the deck.

Tips

Learn it off a small hop on flat ground. Take the foot off at the top, not on the way up, and press the foot that stays on into the deck so the scooter does not drift.

Why it isn't working4 common mistakes

  1. Foot off too early. Wait for the top of the hop, then take it off.

  2. Barely moving the foot. Kick it right out to the side so the trick is clear.

  3. Scooter tilting over. Push down through the foot that stays on to keep the deck level.

  4. Foot back on late. Bring it back as you start to drop, before the wheels touch.

Why it's Rookie: A bunny hop keeps both feet on. Taking one off is a small step, and Rookie because the other foot and both hands never let go.
