The lowdown
Roll at a low kerb, hop so the back wheel taps the edge of it, then come straight back down and ride away.
For most riders it is the first trick done on an obstacle rather than on flat ground.
Tips
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Hopping too late. Pop early enough that the wheel touches on your way down.
Slamming the wheel down. Tap the edge lightly so it does not bounce you off line.
Using a high ledge. A kerb is plenty; start low and stay low until it feels smooth.
Looking at the kerb. Look past it at where you will roll away.
What you need
Where to practise
Street tricks want ledges and rails. find spots with ledges near you →
Where it sits
Why it's Rookie: Only a bunny hop before it. It is Rookie because the kerb is low and you land where you would have anyway; the new bit is timing the hop against something.
