Sign in to mark this one off. Every trick you land is kept, and only you can see it.
The lowdown
From a low bounce you land sitting on the bed, legs straight out in front and hands flat just behind your hips, then push back up to your feet.
The international code allows a routine to land in only four ways: on the feet, the seat, the front or the back. The seat drop is the first of the three body landings most people learn.
Tips
Jump upwards first; do not just lift your legs or sit back. Land with your back nearly upright, legs straight and hands just behind your seat with your fingers pointing at your toes. Push down with your hands as you land and reach both arms up to stand.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Dropping backwards into it. Jump up, and let your hips tilt only at the top.
Bent knees on landing. Keep your legs straight and together with pointed toes.
Hands far behind or fingers pointing back. Land your hands beside your hips, fingers forward, so your elbows can bend.
Not getting back to your feet. Push hard through your hands and reach up; a slightly stronger bounce helps.

Where it sits
Why it's Bronze: Bronze because it is the first landing that is not on your feet, and it drops only a short way with your body still upright.
