Pump a Transition
Sign in to mark this one off. Every trick you land is kept, and only you can see it.
Watch it
The lowdown
Speed without pushing. Sink down through the bottom of a transition and stand tall as it rises, and the ramp gives you the speed back.
Tips
Time it against the shape of the ramp rather than counting. Your legs do the work; your arms stay quiet.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Standing tall through the bottom. Sink low as you enter the curve and stand up as the ramp rises under you.
Bouncing instead of pressing. Push down through the wheels on the steep part; hopping loses contact and speed.
Pumping on the flat. There is nothing to push against on flat; save it for where the ramp curves.
Pushing with a foot. Pushing off makes the board wobble at the top; let the pump make the speed.

Where to practise
Park tricks want bowls and quarter pipes. find spots with a bowl near you →
Where it sits
Why it's Rookie: It is the only trick here where nothing leaves the ramp. It sits at Rookie because the fall is small, not because the timing is simple: press too early or late and you go nowhere.
