The lowdown
Tips
Small hop off the back wheel so both wheels land flat on the transition, and get your weight forward. Leaning back is the one thing that puts you down.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Leaning back as you go over. Lean your head and chest into the ramp; leaning away is what tips you onto your back.
Rolling in too slowly. Put a solid crank in on the deck so you reach the coping with balance to spare.
Approaching exactly parallel to the coping. Come in at a slight angle so your tyre cannot catch in the groove behind the coping.
First go with nobody watching. Once you tip in you cannot step out, so have someone there for the first few on a small ramp.

Where to practise
Park tricks want bowls and quarter pipes. find spots with a bowl near you →
Where it sits
Why it's Easy: Your bunny hop already gets both wheels off the ground. What is new is committing to a slope you cannot stop on, which is a nerve skill more than a bike skill.
