Cartwheel Quarter Turn
Sign in to mark this one off. Every trick you land is kept, and only you can see it.
The lowdown
A cartwheel from a forward lunge that turns in at the end, so you land facing back the way you came. Clubs also call it a front-to-back cartwheel or a cartwheel snap.
It is the lead-in to the round-off, so it becomes the cartwheel most gymnasts use.
Tips
Place the first hand as normal and turn the second hand so its fingers point backwards. That second hand starts the quarter turn.
Why it isn't working3 common mistakes
Second hand not turned in. Point the fingers of your second hand back towards where you started.
Turning the whole body too early. Stay facing forward in the lunge and let the second hand turn you.
Legs coming round the side. Keep the kick straight up over the top.

Why it's Gold: It changes the hand placement you have just learned and adds a turn, which is the first step towards a round-off.
