The lowdown

Both trucks lock onto a ledge or rail and you grind along it dead straight.

Fun fact

Skate 50-50s came from roller skating and BMX pegs before they became the base of every ledge trick.

Tips

Ollie level with the ledge, land on both trucks at once and stay centred. Wax makes a huge difference.

Why it isn't working4 common mistakes

Riding straight at the ledge. Come in at a shallow angle so the ollie carries you onto the edge.
Leaning into the ledge. Keep hips and shoulders square to the direction you are grinding.
Bailing as soon as it slows. Ride it out; the trucks hold on longer than it feels.
Dropping the back truck off first. Shift weight slightly forward so the front truck leaves the end first.

Why it's Spicy: Spicy because it is the ollie landed on something a few centimetres wide, with both trucks arriving at once. A curb ollie asked you to land on top; this asks for the edge.
