Watch it
The lowdown
An ollie while rolling backwards. Same motion, opposite feel, and the board wants to fly out in front of you.
Fakie tricks are how most skaters end up comfortable riding switch.
Tips
Pop slightly later than you think and keep your shoulders over the board.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Looking down at the tail. Look over your leading shoulder at where you are going to land.
Pulling the front foot up early. Let the front foot slide as it does forwards; it is the same ollie, not a new one.
Tail scraping on landing. Lift the back knee after the pop so the board levels out under you.
Popping at a crawl. Roll at a comfortable pace; a slow fakie lets the board wander before the pop.

Where to practise
Flat tricks want smooth flat ground. find spots with flat near you →
Where it sits
Why it's Easy: Still Easy because it is the ollie you already have; nothing about the feet changes. What it adds is popping while rolling in a direction you cannot fully see, which changes the timing.
