Shaped Jumps Off a Box
Sign in to mark this one off. Every trick you land is kept, and only you can see it.
The lowdown
Jumping off a box top and showing a clear shape in the air, a tuck, a straddle or a star, before landing on the mat.
British Gymnastics' 2007 Core Proficiency chart listed a star jump from a box top to a safe landing as one of its badge activities.
Tips
Swing your arms up to lift off, show the shape clearly, and land with your feet together and knees bent.
Why it isn't working3 common mistakes
Looking down at the mat. Look ahead at the far wall so your chest stays up and you land upright.
Landing with your feet apart. Bring your feet back together from the shape before they reach the mat.
Landing on straight legs. Bend your knees as you land so you stay on your feet.

Where it sits
Why it's Bronze: Still a jump from standing onto a mat. The shape adds one thing to think about in the air, which is why it comes after the plain jump.
