The lowdown
Tips
Scoop back with the tail foot and lift your front foot out of the way. Stay over the board or it shoots out.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Scooping with the whole leg. Curl the ankle round the tail; a leg kick sends the board across the ground.
Jumping too high. Hop just enough to clear the deck; a big jump lands you off it.
Shoulders following the board. Keep your shoulders square to the direction of travel; only the board turns.
Back wheels gripping, not sliding. Scoop the tail back and slightly down so the wheels break loose.

Where to practise
Flat tricks want smooth flat ground. find spots with flat near you →
Where it sits
Why it's Easy: Easy because the board stays near the ground for most of the spin and you only hop over it. It is not Rookie because the scoop and the hop have to happen together.
