Sign in to mark this one off. Every trick you land is kept, and only you can see it.
The lowdown
Hold yourself up on straight arms on the pommel horse or a floor pommel: facing it, side-on, then with your back to it. Turning from front to back support comes next.
A competition pommel horse is 115 cm high and 160 cm long, and its two pommels rise about 12 cm above the top.
Tips
Stay tall through your shoulders with your arms locked. Learn it with your feet resting on a mat first, the way the club schemes start it.
Why it isn't working4 common mistakes
Collapsing through the shoulders. Push the pommels away so you stay tall with your arms locked.
Letting the hips drop or sit. Keep your body tight from shoulders to heels while your legs move.
Hands too far back in rear support. Put your hands near the front of the pommels and open your chest.
Slumping while shifting hand to hand. Stay tall and supported as your weight moves from one hand to the other.

Where it sits
Why it's Bronze: Your feet start on a mat and nothing swings. It is pure support, which is where every pommel trick begins.
